Chathu Kumaragamage
PH.D. CANDIDATE, BIOLOGICAL AND BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING PROGRAM
Chathu is a PhD candidate in Biomedical engineering under the supervision of Dr. Jamie Near. He received his BSc and MSc from the University of Manitoba in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering, respectively. His current research involves RF coil design for heteronuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS), pulse sequence design for indirect and direct 13C MRS, and quantum mechanical simulations for predicting spin dynamics in heteronuclear MRS experiments at 7T. In addition, he is involved with RF coil design for MRI in rats and mice for specific applications.
